Associating a battery with a photovoltaic power plant makes it possible to optimize self-consumption and to gain autonomy. Without a battery, solar energy must be consumed immediately or injected into the network, often at a low-cost buyout tariff. The battery stores the surplus to return it in the evening, at night or in overcast weather, thus reducing dependence on the network and ensuring power continuity in the event of a cut.
